Asset Management Program for Anesthesia departments and surgical services

One accountable operating layer for your medical equipment: one asset record, one service channel, one qualified network, one report standard and one executive view of cost, risk and compliance.

Your equipment, managed as one program

Most hospitals manage medical equipment one contract, one vendor and one invoice at a time. Manufacturer agreements renew on their own calendars, outside repairs are approved by whoever answers the phone, preventive maintenance lives in one system and cost lives in another. Leadership sees the total only at budget time, and surveyors find the gaps before anyone else does.

The BiomedRx Asset Management Program replaces that fragmentation with a single program for healthcare facilities and health networks across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and office-based anesthesia practices nationwide. BiomedRx becomes the accountable program manager for your fleet: we know what you own, where it is, who services it, what it costs and what it needs next, and we prove it with records you can hand to a surveyor or a chief financial officer.

One asset record

A verified census of every device, with its service history, contracts, documents and cost, whoever performs the work.

One service channel

Clinicians and staff request service from one place, by scanning an asset tag in the BiomedRx App or calling one number.

One qualified network

Your in-house team, BiomedRx BMETs and independent service organizations, and manufacturers where they add real value.

One report standard

Every visit closes with the same documentation, reviewed by BiomedRx and published to your secure service report portal.

One executive view

PM completion, open repairs, response times, vendor performance, cost and risk in one dashboard for leadership.

Four program levels

Every organization starts where it is. The program grows in stages, and each stage is earned with verified data rather than promised in a proposal.

1

Asset Intelligence

Census, tagging, inventory clean-up, maintenance schedules, compliance documents and your program dashboard.

2

Managed HTM Network

Everything in Asset Intelligence, plus intake, dispatch, vendor and contract management, work authorization, invoice validation and parts coordination. Most organizations start here.

3

Performance Partnership

For established programs: a signed cost baseline, a cost-reduction plan and a shared commitment to results.

4

Comprehensive Coverage

Predictable annual coverage for selected classes of equipment, offered only where verified service history supports it.

The right source for every repair

We are vendor-neutral. Each service event goes to the most appropriate qualified source for that device and that moment: your in-house biomedical team, a BiomedRx BMET or independent service organization from our network, or the manufacturer when proprietary tools, parts, software or warranty terms make it the right choice.

Before work begins, the program confirms the asset, its warranty and contract status and your approval rules, so you do not pay twice for covered work or call a premium service for a routine repair. After the visit, the technical report and the charges are reviewed against what was authorized.

How onboarding works

  1. Financial review. We gather your service invoices, contracts, parts spend and labor to understand where the maintenance budget goes today.
  2. Physical census. Technicians locate, identify and tag every in-scope device and reconcile it against your asset and CMMS records.
  3. Baseline and plan. Your finance team reviews and signs the annual baseline, and we agree the scope, response targets and authorization rules.
  4. Configuration. Assets, schedules, contracts and approval rules are loaded into the BiomedRx App and your dashboard goes live.
  5. Go-live and review. A pilot, then full scope, then a formal performance review with your leadership.

Onboarding typically takes about 90 days. Nothing is guaranteed before your inventory is verified and your baseline is signed, which is what makes the results credible.

Built for survey day

Your organization keeps its responsibilities under the CMS Conditions of Participation and its accreditation standards, including approval of any alternate equipment maintenance (AEM) strategy where CMS permits one. The program supports that governance: every asset carries its maintenance strategy, who approved it, the procedure followed, who performed the work and when it was completed. Imaging, laser and other equipment that must follow manufacturer recommendations stays on manufacturer schedules.

Approved service reports are published to your secure BiomedRx client report portal, and your organization owns its asset and service records, with the right to export them at any time.

Savings you can verify

We do not lead with a savings percentage. We lead with your numbers. The program builds an annual maintenance baseline from your own invoices, contracts and labor, your finance team reviews and signs it, and every result is reported against it. Program fees, field service and any pass-through vendor costs are shown separately, so you can see exactly what you pay for management and what you pay for service.

Over time, the same record shows which assets cost more to keep than to replace, which contracts are buying little, and where capital dollars will do the most good.

Anesthesia departments and surgical services

For anesthesia departments, the program brings every anesthesia machine, vaporizer, gas monitor and related device under one schedule and one service record. Each machine keeps its manufacturer-required checks, and the history shows anesthesia leadership which units are ready, which are due and which are costing more than they should.

Powered by the BiomedRx App

The BiomedRx App is the control plane for the program. Staff request service by scanning an asset tag, technicians document labor, tests, parts and photos on the job, and leadership follows work orders, preventive maintenance, risk and cost from the program dashboard. Program clients sign in to the BiomedRx App to open their Asset Management dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

What is the BiomedRx Asset Management Program?

It is a hospital-wide program for medical equipment. BiomedRx builds and maintains one verified record of every device, takes in every service request through one channel, routes each job to the most appropriate qualified source, validates the work and the invoice, and reports cost, risk and compliance to your leadership.

Do we have to replace our in-house biomedical team or our manufacturer contracts?

No. High-performing in-house staff and manufacturer agreements stay in place where they deliver value. The program coordinates them, fills the gaps with qualified BiomedRx network technicians, and brings all of the work back to one record.

Who stays responsible for compliance?

Your organization keeps its responsibilities under the CMS Conditions of Participation and your accreditation standards, including approval of any alternate equipment maintenance (AEM) strategy. BiomedRx supplies the people, the controls and the evidence that every maintenance decision and completion can be traced.

How are savings measured?

Against an annual maintenance baseline built from your own invoices, contracts and labor, which your finance team reviews and signs before any savings are reported. We do not publish savings estimates; your baseline and your results are what count.

How do we start?

Request a no-obligation assessment. A program manager reviews your current service spend and inventory and recommends a starting level. Most organizations begin with asset intelligence and managed service, and onboarding takes about 90 days.
